We have not ever posted a pic of a dog that needs a home before. Why? Because we are not a shelter. But we do recommend adopting your next dog. Rex is a beautiful, sweet red-tan pit mix who loves kids and is a bit shy, and wants to snuggle his days away. He also loves all people and all animals and dogs. He really is one of those perfect dogs.He is only 2 years old, neutured, has all his shots. Unfortunately, he has been abandoned twice now. My friend just sent me an email about this poor guy. He is currently on the west coast in Sacramento, but she will pay all costs to have him flown here to the east coast, if we can find someone who falls in love with him, and wants to adopt him. Rex has until THIS SUNDAY before he will be dropped at the shelter in California. Then he will only have 24 hours before the end. She has tried everywhere, even Best Friends Animal Sanctuary..nobody has room for Rex.
I will make story short as possible: This dog was adopted to begin with, and lived with a woman, her husband, and their 2 babies. Then the husband left his wife one morning, no warning, and headed to California. She had no money and was forced to move somewhere with no dogs. She flew Rex to live with the husband in California, because he said he wanted Rex. Otherwise, this woman who does rescue would have taken him at the time and placed him with a family that had really wanted Rex. Since then, that family has adopted a different dog and they don't want two dogs. Now the husband has flown back to New Jersey to live, and no longer wants Rex. Rex is living with the husband's new girlfriend in California, and she is leaving the dog at a shelter this SUNDAY, 4/27. This dog has been through a windmill, not to mention that at one point he was left for 10 days without any people there, or food or water. The wife paid to have someone care for him for 10 days, and that person skipped town and never showed up.
If you dont have room in your home for Rex, at least send his info to everyone you know...anyone looking for a really great dog! People have used dogs to do all kinds of work through the years. This is the most unique working dog ever!
